Exposición "Sueños de Ángeles y Ancestros" de Marta Sánchez y amigos

Una exhibición de arte y poesía que te llevará de puntillas por sueños de esperanza a todo color.

En la inauguración de la nueva exposición de Marta Sánchez no habrá vino ni queso.  No habrá conversaciones cortas sobre el clima o la política.  La galería entera será transformada en una zona de silencio, honrando a todas y todos los sobrevivientes de violencia sexual que todavía están en busca de el lugar, el momento y la persona adecuada para compartir sus experiencias. 

Esta exposición será un colectivo de Sánchez y los seres creativos que la rodean.  La mayoría de las obras se enfocarán en la esperanza.  Las palabras de aliento y seguridad que nos ayudan a crecer.  La esperanza que nos ayuda a superar momentos difíciles.  Los mensajes susurrados por un ángel guardián en las noches más oscuras. 

Esta exposición  incluirá espacios de interacción en donde los participantes podrán intercambiar notas de esperanza y al mismo tiempo podrán ver notas de reflexión de previas exposiciones en Panamá y Pennsylvania.  En otro espacio, durante la noche de la inauguración, habrá un área de juegos de ayer y hoy.  

Sánchez espera que el conectarse con la sabiduría colectiva de los que la rodean, será una fuente de energía positiva para todos los presentes.   



Dreams of Ancestors and Angels

An exhibit of poetry and art that leads you on tiptoe through colorfully loud dreams of hope.

At Marta Sanchez upcoming opening there will be no wine and cheese reception.  There will be no small talk and introductions.  The entire gallery will be transformed into a zone of silence, honoring all the survivors who still search for the right time, place, and person to speak of their experiences.     

The exhibit itself is a collaboration between Sanchez and the creative souls who surround her.  Most of the artwork centers on messages of hope, The messages that helped you survive. The messages about safety that were passed down to you.  The messages you edited.  The messages you embraced. The message your guardian angel whispered to you in the darkness of the night. 

Sanchez will also be creating interactive spaces for reflection.  This includes a space to give hope and get hope and a growing string of notes from visitors to previous exhibits in Panamá, traveled Pennsylvania. There will also be a play area of games from today and yesterday.  

Sanchez hopes that by connecting with the collective wisdom of those around her, this exhibit will be a source of positive energy for all those who witness it.
